Services We Provide

I provide therapeutic massage to help the person who is stressed, overworked, or has health issues that
require manipulation of muscle tissue.
Swedish Massage - Swedish massage was the first of the European-type massage modalities
to be developed. It is very relaxing and soothing to tired muscles and jangled nerves. The
movement of lymph and blood through the system helps your body rid itself of toxins to maintain
your health and well-being.

Russian Massage - This is a technique developed in Russia during the 1930s was specifically
designed for athletes. Its unique combination of strokes is designed to help the athlete avoid
injuries in the first place, and recover more quickly if they are injured.

Sports Massage - Many sports and fitness enthusiasts rely on regular massage as an important
part of their health maintenance routine. This is because an area of chronic tension can impair
performance and even lead to injury when stressed. Assisted stretching, kneading and other
massage techniques can loosen areas of chronic tension and help relieve new areas of tension
before they become chronic.

Reflexology - By accessing the pressure points in the feet, the massage therapist is able to
access and affect the organs of the body.

Acutherapy - A very light touch technique designed to relax muscles which can be the most
common areas of stress and pain. It is a full body therapy, especially useful with those who are
highly sensitive or cannot tolerate much pressure. This modality was developed by Jim Foster,
the founder of Myotherapy College of Utah as a treatment for patients who had come to rely on
him for everything, and even came to him for things that needed to be treated in a hospital. Not
wanting to turn them away, Jim developed this modality, based on Polarity and neuromuscular
release, to aid them in the healing process.

Touch for Health - A form of muscle testing, the client’s muscles are held in a position that
isolates them from other muscles so the therapist can test them for imbalance. Specific areas
are worked to help restore balance to the energy meridians and to the muscles.

Shiatsu - Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork with roots in the ancient Traditional Chinese
Medicine theory and practice. Combined with the teachings of macrobiotic theories of health, this
form of Shiatsu is an effective tool in bringing balance and well-being to the recipient. A sequence
of gentle joint rotations, stretching, kneading, as well as palm and finger pressure along the
body's meridians (channels) stimulate and balance the flow of Qi (energy). This allows the
recipient to experience the many benefits of Shiatsu, including a deep sense of relaxation.

Pregnancy Massage - Pregnancy places unique physical demands on a woman's body. Muscles
and joints undergo stress due to fluctuating hormone levels, nerve impingement, weight gain,
and skeletal changes. Aches and pains often accompany these changes. Regular massage
during pregnancy can:
Alleviate the stress on weight bearing joints.
Alleviate backache, stiffness and swelling associated with pregnancy.
Ease the pressure on the sciatic nerve
Sooth the nervous system of both mother and child
Improve sleep patterns
Following pregnancy, Infant Massage instruction is offered to assist parents in learning the
nurturing aspects of massaging their new babies and children.

**NEW!**  Aromatherapy and Essential Oils - Massages that are usually done with massage
lotion can now be done using a carrier oil mixed with essential oils. There are many different
essential oils, each with their own unique characteristics and benefits, that can be used to
enhance the massage experience. This service is $5 extra. The desired essential oils are mixed
with 2 ounces of carrier oil and used during the massage. Any oil left over will be yours to take
home and enjoy. Click here for a more complete list of currently-available oils and blends. The list
will be updated as needed, so check back often. Price for addition of Aromatherapy: $5.

Hot Stone Therapy - This modality has a deeply relaxing benefit. As the heated basalt stones help
your muscles to relax, they also have a very calming effect on your emotions. Recommended for
later in the day. You'll relax and sleep much better tonight! Due to the equipment and preparation
time needed, appointments for this modality must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Price
for Hot Stone Therapy:  $70 for a 50-minute session.

On-Site Seated Chair Massage - Today stress is a fact of life, and the workplace is no exception.
Deadlines, rapidly changing technology, and unavoidable interpersonal conflicts are just a few of
the stresses workers cope with daily. The effects of stress are cumulative and, without time to
relax and recharge, can lead to many problems in the workplace.
Seated massage is quite affordable. Because it is shorter than a regular table massage, it
costs less. Ask your massage practitioner for exact prices since cost varies by locale. Your
minimal expenses for in-house coordination and publicity will be more than offset by savings
such as no up-front investment in equipment or facilities; you pay only for people who use it.
Price for On-Site Seated Chair Massage depends on location; ask for a quotation.

On-Site Table Massage - For an additional cost (to cover time and travel), I can bring my table to
your home if you prefer the privacy and convenience of massage in your home. Sorry, but Hot
Stone is not available for on-site massage. Amount of extra charge depends on location, $20
minimum; this includes most of the Salt Lake Valley area.

Gift Certificates are always available in any denomination.
